Accessibility statement
HighZak is committed to making highzak-digital.com usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology or need reduced motion. This is a live document — we update it as we improve.
Standard we're targeting
We build to WCAG 2.1, Level AA. That covers keyboard access, screen-reader compatibility, contrast, motion controls, and clear labelling.
What we've built in
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive control (buttons, links, form fields) is reachable and operable with the keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Skip-to-content link — press Tab on load and jump past the header straight to the main content.
- Reduced motion — the cinematic scroll effects (parallax, video scrubbing, animated reveals) are disabled automatically when your OS is set to "Reduce motion". The site remains fully usable.
- Semantic HTML — headings, sections, and form labels are structured so screen readers can announce the page clearly.
- Alternative text — meaningful images have descriptions; decorative visuals are marked so screen readers can skip them.
- Colour contrast — body text meets WCAG AA contrast against its background.
- No autoplay with sound — videos autoplay muted and looped; you choose when to enable sound.
- Tap targets — buttons and links on mobile are sized for finger use (≥ 44px).
Known limitations
The 3D scroll experience is highly visual by design. If you use a screen reader or prefer a still page, enable "Reduce motion" in your OS — the site will serve you a calm, static version with all the same copy and controls.
Feedback — tell us if something's broken
